Geri Messina

I am a founding member og CSAR.  My first CSAR seminar was in Appomattox. VA.  It was there I met Garland Gillman, his wife Mickey, and of course Carolyn.  Because of these people & my team members of ILL-WIS SAR, I was hooked on seminars & training.  My first SAR dog, Mika, a Bloodhound was certified in scent specific live trailing, land and water cadaver.  Together with my dog and teammates we assisted in many finds. Mika crossed the Rainbow Bridge in 2006.  Doc my Red Bone Coon Hound is certified for scent specific live trailing. Not certified for land cadaver but he loves to train & find dead things. Since moving to AZ I retired Doc as there are no SAR teams in the immediate area.  We still train on cadaver.  I work part time for Curves, a women's workout center.  This gives me the opportunity to keep myself in shape.
